“Cellular Plans From This Carrier Cannot be Added”

You will typically experience this issue if you have a network-locked device. To download and support eSIMs, you need a device that has been network unlocked.

 

To verify this:

 

Activate Carrier Lock under Settings > General > About.

 

Error Message

 

Your phone is network unlocked if you see 'No SIM limitations' on the display. If you don't see this message, contact your carrier to have your mobile network unlocked.
